If you haven't written your Senators and Representatives yet concerning national health care, you need to do so now. Obama is in a desperate push to get this passed before the August recess and he is employing the same tactics he's used to rush through $787 billion in stimulus and a $1.3 trillion dollar budget deficit. Enough of the ACORN tactics! Here is the letter I wrote to my Senators. Feel free to use the same one if you haven't written already: 

Senator,

 I have heard all of the arguments in favor of nationalized, socialized medicine and frankly, I am convinced that nearly all claims made by the President and his supporters in Congress are bold-faced lies. This push is designed simply to buy votes and consolidate control over the economy. It is becoming clearer every day to growing numbers of Americans that Obamacare will mean higher costs, less quality, longer waits and in the end, a national tragedy. If this plan truly had merit, you and all of your colleagues in Congress would be willing to submit to its mandates. I understand that it is clearly written into the bill that you and all of Congress are exempted from the plan. Tell me why you are willing to support laws to which you yourself are not subject? That, sir, is blatant hypocrisy.

 I believe that as an intelligent and thoughtful man, you are beginning to realize that the election of Barack Obama was a horrific mistake. This man is clearly in over his head. You cannot help seeing it. Once again, he is calling for a massive and complex bill to be bull-rushed through Congress without anyone reading it or understanding its ramifications despite the fact that he himself has acknowledged that we are out of money. He recently stated that 2/3 of the bill will be paid for with "savings"! Senator, please cite for me any legislation ever that has cost us trillions in 2009 dollars that was paid for with "savings". The claim is patently ridiculous. Anyone who will publicly agree with it is as well.

 Obama has gone from a silver-tongued, "Hope and Change" dreamer to a desperate and smarmy snake-oil salesman in a very short period of time. It is not too late for you to jump off of this destructive, socialist bandwagon in time to salvage your political career. If you will speak out against this monstrosity that the majority of true Americans oppose, you may actually make a name for yourself as a principled and courageous leader. If you continue to support this national suicide, you will fade into history as one of the buffoons who willfully marched this country into the abyss by blindly following this Marxist novice with no concept of history or economics.

 It’s your choice, Senator. Make it carefully and if you are rushed, ask yourself why.
